Online school is full of fun. A teacher singing out of tune, a careless parent scolding smb while unmuted, a blurry screen, increased screen time, and constant 'Mom, something is happening/not happening/loud/silent/what to press/i don't know what to do/I'm hungry' stuff.
Anyway, the middle one got her first full question in English right at a completely free play activity. So proud of her. It wasn't echoing or repeating after someone but a thing she built in her head. I'm sure she has more in her pocket, though I heard just this.
My hubby, I, and my eldest are playing the game called 'Guess the word' with the two youngsters. It used to be just about figuring out what word was said. But now, before the final answer, we have to get the language correctly: one of the three used at home.
Eventually, they will stick to the rule 'one sentence - one language', but now it's just funny. 'Look here, ya shvydko begayu.' (look, I'm running fast) - a mix of three languages. The five-year-old is certainly great at sorting out her vocab and grammar when she's in an alert state. But her lil sis is still on her way to that stage.
